Biesse Selco panel sizing parts

This collection includes items associated with Biesse Selco panel saws, such as air-table balls, upper pressure belts, upper pressure sponges and grippers. The live list may include belts named as 10 by 10 mm and 20 by 10 mm, a general gripper and an option carrying a Selco reference. The collection is not a technical catalogue covering every spare part on the machine. Table, pressure system, gripper and transport options can differ by model and production configuration. A “Selco” name in a product title is not compatibility evidence for your specific machine. Compare its dimensions and image with the full model, serial number, current part code and mounting position. The sections below explain what information to collect.

Selco air-table ball

An air-table ball creates a contact point as a panel moves across the support surface. Its visible diameter, lower housing and table thickness should match. Check free rotation, flange seating, projection height and any clip or fastening. If the listing only says “air-table ball,” the product image and code become important for comparison with the machine drawing. A circular mark, friction or difficulty moving a panel does not by itself prove the ball has failed; air surface, ball socket, contamination and underside support can also matter. Replacement balls in the same table should follow the maker’s design and maintenance instructions for height and material. Photograph the removed ball, body and housing together.

Cross-section of the upper pressure belts

The Selco saw list may include upper pressure belts named as 10 by 10 mm and 20 by 10 mm. Even if the product dimensions indicate the cross-section, separately check loop length, joint, material and pressure channel. The machine’s tension range, pulley or pressure-member width, belt orientation and panel contact area must match. If the old belt was cut for removal, do not estimate its original loop length; use the maker’s code, catalogue drawing or a measurement while installed. Different models can use the same 10 by 10 or 20 by 10 cross-section with a different length or connection. Note the exact pressure position, how tension is set and where wear appears. An authorized maintenance team should review the entire pressure group to relate wear to panel behavior.

Upper pressure sponge and contact marks

An upper pressure sponge can have different support and contact properties from a belt. Even where the product title is general, identify its outside dimensions, thickness, cross-section, attachment and mounting channel. Compression or tearing can make the old sponge differ from its original dimension. Compare it with a sound matching part and the machine catalogue. A pressure mark, a panel shift or a gripper that does not capture the board could relate to the sponge, but pressure adjustment, panel size, pressure unit and gripper geometry should also be checked. Photograph the same area before and after maintenance. If the sponge material, support channel or joint is unknown, do not infer it from the product title; review the product detail and machine documentation.

Gripper: jaw dimensions and position

A gripper holds and positions a panel during a saw or transport cycle. The Biesse Selco collection may include a general gripper name and options carrying a Selco reference; check the jaw shape and mounting for each listing. Measure the gripping opening, contact face, base width, overall height, mounting holes and machine position. The direction from which the jaw meets the panel, left or right position and connection to the axis or carriage help distinguish a match. Photograph wear, fractures, bending or elongated holes on the old gripper. If the catalogue drawing number matches the product code, include that evidence in the purchase request. Since a gripper sits in a motion system, mounting and testing should follow machine procedures and be performed by authorized staff.

Match through the model and spare-parts drawing

Copy the Selco model and serial number from the machine plate, together with its production year. Cut length, table layout, rear loading, pressure beam or other options can affect parts within one machine family. If the old component carries a maker or spare-parts number, preserve zeros and suffix letters. Add the assembly illustration, group title, item position and revision note from the catalogue. For a ball, measure top diameter, housing, table socket and projection. For a belt, measure cross-section, loop and channel; for a sponge, thickness and support; for a gripper, opening and mounting holes. A part selected only by machine brand may be the wrong variant from the listing. Photos should show the machine plate, existing component and its installed location.

Maintenance notes for symptoms and measurements

Record panel resistance during transport, a gripper positioning issue or a pressure mark with the panel, program, dimensions and machine step where it appeared. The air-table ball, belt, sponge and gripper may support the same system, but they are not interchangeable. Follow the machine maintenance manual rather than identifying a failed component from a symptom alone. Keep the old code and dimensions before replacement, then the new code and trial conditions in the work order. Authorized maintenance staff should isolate energy, ensure moving parts have stopped and assess test safety. Collection copy is not an operating procedure or maker’s setting chart.

These links help compare similar ball, pressure or gripper descriptions; another machine brand or the same dimension does not prove Selco fit. Check the product code against the machine model and serial number. In a quote request, state the mounting point, measurement set and quantity. Send any unresolved cross-reference with the product code to a technical reviewer. Separating “confirmed” from “confirmation pending” in a purchasing record helps keep a candidate from being recorded as a proven replacement.

Position and variant control for Selco parts

A Selco table can use balls, pressure belts, sponges and grippers in one process, but each belongs to a separate assembly group in the catalogue. Keep inventory records under functions such as transport support, upper pressure and panel gripping, and add the drawing position to each line. When comparing belt cross-section, also confirm loop length; a matching section does not mean the loop is correct. Measure a gripper’s jaw opening and verify its relationship to the machine’s panel handling and safety documentation. A Selco reference in a listing helps browse, but the machine’s production period may point to an alternate number. Retain revision, station position and verification source in the order note.
