Scope of the Homag / Holzma sizing saw parts collection

This collection lists components used around panel sizing saw systems, including air-table balls, upper pressure belts and sponges, grippers and a Holzma scraper. Belt product names include 10 by 10 mm and 20 by 10 mm cross-sections. The live product list is not a complete spare-parts catalogue for every Homag or Holzma saw. Table, transport, pressure system, gripper design and options can vary by machine; production year or revision may also change part dimensions. Start selection with the machine plate, the current product code, mounting position and dimensions on the listing. A Homag or Holzma name in a title does not alone confirm fit.

Air-table ball and support surface

An air-table ball is a support contact between the panel and table. The component should rotate freely or seat correctly in its housing, but the collection title does not describe an air-cushion principle or a shared dimension standard for all tables. Measure the ball diameter, table opening, housing, flange, projection and any fastener. The diameter visible from above is not the same as the body width below the surface. If a panel moves with resistance, is scratched or feels unevenly supported, show the maintenance team the ball as well as air supply, surface cleanliness and surrounding housings. Even with a Homag reference in a listing, compare it with the actual table drawing. Keep a photo of the ball and table surface, removed housing and measurement scale in the same record.

Upper pressure belts: 10 by 10 and 20 by 10

The listed 10 by 10 mm and 20 by 10 mm upper pressure belts have different cross-sections. Belt width and thickness, channel profile, loop length, joint, outside surface and tension mechanism all need to match. Confirm in the product page that the stated dimensions describe a millimetre cross-section; the spare-parts catalogue may specify loop length separately. If the existing belt was cut to remove it, its original length may no longer be measurable. Measure its loop while installed or locate the maker’s part number in the drawing. Photograph the operating direction, pressure shoe width and panel contact area. A machine family can use different pressure units or functional options, so “10 by 10” or “20 by 10” alone is not enough for a purchase decision.

Upper pressure sponge and panel contact

An upper pressure sponge may be a different material and mounting part from a belt. Check its thickness, width, cross-section, cell structure and support channel in the product listing. A used sponge can compress and lose its original thickness, so do not use only the removed dimension as the replacement reference. Uneven pressure marks on a panel can relate to sponge deformation, pressure adjustment, table position, transport or material thickness. Photograph separate left and right pressure positions on the machine. Follow site maintenance practices and maker guidance when deciding quantity; do not use visually similar sponges in another unit until the product standard is confirmed. Add the unit position next to “upper pressure sponge” in the purchasing request.

Holzma gripper and scraper

A gripper is a mechanical component associated with holding or transferring a panel through a machining cycle. The collection may include Holzma and perforated Holzma grippers. Opening, gripping face, hole pattern, body height, contact direction and carrier attachment can vary by model. Record the mounting dimensions and the axis or carriage as well as the old gripper’s jaw width. For a scraper, compare profile, cross-section, tip, holder and operating direction. Confirm the scraper’s role from its product reference and machine catalogue. Dimensions taken from a worn gripper or scraper may not show the original profile; a sound matching part or drawing is a better starting point. Do not inspect a gripper or scraper on a running machine; follow safe maintenance procedures.

Homag Holzma model and catalogue number

Copy the complete model name and serial number from the machine plate; “Holzma sizing saw” is a broad family and does not identify the table options. Production year, machine length, panel transport, pressure beam and rear-loading options can help locate the right catalogue revision. Transcribe the OEM or supplier code on the old component exactly. Keep separate measurements for belt cross-section and loop, ball diameter and housing, sponge cross-section and channel, gripper jaw and holes, and scraper profile and holder. The assembly and item position in a parts drawing provide useful confirmation when they match the product name. Organize photographs as a wide machine view, mounting location and different faces of the part. Note any later mechanical changes to the present system.

Record the symptom in the cutting sequence

Describe when you notice resistance at the table, slip in the gripper, a pressure mark or buildup near the scraper. Each can relate to different components; a product family alone does not determine the cause. Follow the maker’s instructions to check the air-table surface, ball socket, belt tension, sponge channel and gripper position. Retain panel material and thickness, travel direction, active position and machine alarm in the maintenance record. An incorrectly dimensioned spare can create a selection problem before any machine adjustment is considered, so verify its code and position separately. Keep the changed component and trial result together so operations and purchasing staff use the same reference.

These pages aid comparison but do not prove that the same belt or ball fits your Homag / Holzma machine. Verify the part reference against the model, serial number and drawing. In a quote request, state quantity, station position, dimensions, product code and any unverified detail separately. Include the revision if the catalogue shows an alternate number. Before installation, compare the existing and replacement parts side by side; follow maker instructions for installation, maintenance and safe testing.

Identify the mounting group on the saw

Air-table support, upper pressure and gripper products belong to different subsystems on the same panel saw. Before requesting a part, find whether it sits at the operator side, table row, pressure beam or gripper carrier in the catalogue drawing. The 10 by 10 and 20 by 10 mm belts have similar naming; verify which machine series uses the listed loop length. To distinguish a perforated Holzma gripper from another variant, measure hole centres and overall body height. For the scraper, the holder base and direction matter in addition to the working edge. Recording panel travel direction and drawing position together helps keep similarly named parts separate in the work order.
