Homag and Brandt edge bander parts

This collection includes parts for pressure, transport, lower-chain and finishing positions: end-trim wheels, polishing felts, lower chain shoes, side-carriage rollers, a radius scraper, pulling rollers, upper pressure wheels and glue-level sensors. Product titles may reference Homag, Brandt or another machine name. The collection is a starting point for finding listed items, not a fitment chart for every Homag or Brandt series. Even within Ambition, KAL, KD, KDF, KTD or EDGETEQ families, a serial number, unit type, installed option or production revision can affect the required part. Compare each product’s own dimensions and code with the machine parts catalogue; do not select by brand name alone.

Upper pressure wheels and side-carriage rollers

An upper pressure wheel provides a controlled contact point while a panel moves through the machine. Listings may include metal-hub and bearing-mounted options in different diameters and widths. Record the outside diameter, total width, shaft bore, bearing inner diameter, hub material and mounting method. For side-carriage rollers, the roller’s width, side clearance and way it turns on the shaft matter as well as its outside diameter. Product titles that show dimensions such as 27 by 26 by 3 mm or 28 by 25 by 4 mm help distinguish catalog entries; confirm the measurement directions and tolerance in the detail. A cracked, flattened or stiff wheel can be observed, but a mark on a panel may also be related to another station or its settings. Photograph the shaft, connection and installed location together before removal.

Lower chain shoes, blocks and carrier vacuum

A lower chain shoe or block must be selected for its position and attachment in the conveying or support arrangement. The collection includes measured Brandt and Homag shoes as well as carrier vacuum products carrying references such as Turanlar, Nanxing, OTT, IMA, Holzher Sprint, SCM Olimpic and Biesse Akron. These other brand names do not mean that the item fits the same Homag or Brandt machine; check the listing carefully. For a block, measure length, width, height, screw spacing, hole type and whether the contact face is flat or curved. For a carrier vacuum, also check its base, vacuum channel, port, hole spacing and carrier geometry. A worn shape may have changed, so compare with an unworn partner or machine drawing. Identify the chain position or vacuum carrier where the part is installed.

End trimming, scraping and polishing

An end-trim wheel, radius scraper and polishing felt are different groups intended for different stations. A burr, edge mark or change in gloss should be traced to the station before selecting a replacement; those observations alone do not identify a failed component. A product title mentioning a wheel, scraper or felt may not fully describe the mounting and working face. For an end-trim part, check its outside shape, thickness, bore, carrier and direction. For a scraper, check profile, cross-section, holder and direction of travel. For a polishing felt, compare its outline and how it attaches to a shaft or carrier. References such as “Homag Radus” or Biesse Stream describe the catalog item; do not assume the same machine unit is installed without checking the configuration.

Glue-level sensor and pulling roller

The collection also contains products such as glue-level sensors and pulling rollers named for Homag or Brandt. For a sensor, read the housing length, sensing end, thread, connector, cable, supply and controller markings from the product label. A notation such as “12” in a product title may be part of that listing’s description; it does not alone define its connector or electrical characteristics. Work around a heated glue pot or machine body only under the site procedure for electrical and hot-surface isolation. For a pulling roller, compare circumference, hub, surface shape, shaft and direction of pull. Slippage or irregular feed can also relate to settings, contamination or pressure force; a qualified maintenance team should diagnose the cause.

Record the model, revision and part number

Record the full model from the nameplate, serial number, production year and installed options such as corner rounding, glue unit or feed arrangement. Revisions within one machine family can change a bearing, hole spacing or sensor connection. Copy the old OEM or supplier code, preserving punctuation and suffixes. If there is no readable code, provide caliper measurements for the outside diameter, body width, bore, thickness and mounting spacing and state which axes were measured. Add the station name and drawing position from the parts catalogue where available. Photos should show both sides of the part, nearby components, mounting location and machine plate. For components installed in a series, such as chain shoes or carrier vacuum units, include the position number and quantity.

These pages help navigate product groups; an item with the same title in another collection may not fit your Homag or Brandt machine. Prioritize the match of code, dimensions and mounting surface. Include brand and full model, serial number, station position, old part code and required quantity in a purchase request. If a cross-reference remains uncertain, do not assume fit from the product name; identify which measurements or photos still need technical review.

Separate Homag and Brandt machine revisions

Homag and Brandt listings can name series or families such as Ambition, KAL, KD/KDF/KTD and EDGETEQ. Those broad names do not show that every model uses the same pressure wheel, chain shoe or sensor, so check the part number against the machine’s serial range. When measuring a 70 by 25 by 17 mm wheel, document its hub bushing and bearing; for a 28 by 25 by 4 mm side roller, note shaft clearance and shoulder; for chain shoes, capture screw and hole layout. A glue-level sensor’s connector and length inside the pot can matter as much as body diameter. Carrier-vacuum listings that name other machine brands show why the collection is not a machine-specific fitment checker. Purchasing requests should include those technical identifiers.

Include the subassembly and station position

On a Homag / Brandt drawing, lower chain, side carriage, pressure roller and glue sensing belong to different subassemblies. A request should include the station or exploded-view item number as well as the part name. Carrier-vacuum entries carrying other machine brands make it harder to determine a subassembly from the title alone. If no drawing position is available, send a wide photo of the installed location, the removed part’s label and a close-up of the connection together. For repeated chain shoes, state which row and how many positions will be changed. This lets purchasing source the correct quantity and location after the product family has been verified.
