Scope of the bearings and mechanical parts collection
This collection contains NSK and Schaeffler / FAG bearings as well as a Loctite cleaner listed as a maintenance product. Bearing families may include deep-groove ball, self-aligning ball, cylindrical roller, tapered roller and angular-contact or precision spindle types. Each has different load directions, speed, shaft and housing conditions and mounting methods; the collection title does not mean they can substitute for one another in a common application. Compare the manufacturer and full product code, dimensions, internal clearance, precision class, cage, seals and mounting arrangement with the machine drawing. A bearing name or outside dimension alone is not enough to establish application suitability.
Reading NSK and FAG product codes
Live listings may include NSK references such as 6001ZZC3, 6205ZZC3, 1206K, NU213EMC3, HR30205J and 7008CTRSULP4, and codes such as Schaeffler / FAG 21308-E1 or B7008-C-T-P4S-UL. Code sections can indicate product family, dimension series, clearance, shields or seals, precision or construction variant. Use the maker’s current code tables and capture the complete label, preserving every suffix. Do not interpret terms such as ZZ, C3, K, EMC3 or P4 generically without checking the manufacturer’s coding reference. Within a main code family, a different cover, clearance or precision grade can affect operation. Keep the manufacturer catalogue page and mounting drawing with the purchase record.
Bearing types and machine positions
Deep-groove ball bearings named in NSK 6000 and 6200 series appear as common dimension-coded listings. The 1206K self-aligning ball, NU1006 / NU213EMC3 / NU312ET cylindrical roller, HR30203J / HR30205J tapered roller and 7008CTRSULP4 or B7008-C-T-P4S-UL precision or angular-contact references point to other design families. Those family names are general classifications; the full code and manufacturer catalogue establish the exact product. The bearing’s location, radial and axial loads, environment, speed, lubrication, shaft and housing seat all matter in a machine. Measure old inner and outer diameters and width; however, a new product should not be chosen solely by dimensions if the shaft or seat has been modified.
Clearance, fits and mounting conditions
Internal clearance and shaft-housing fit are determined with manufacturer selection tables and the equipment’s operating conditions. A suffix such as C3 is a code detail separate from basic bearing dimensions; it does not alone establish suitability for a machine. Temperature, speed, load, fit tolerance, lubrication and mounting can affect clearance requirements. NSK and FAG catalogues provide separate technical information for dimensions, clearances, tolerances and installation. A used bearing may have developed additional play, so do not use it to estimate the clearance of a replacement. If the machine maker provides a part number or engineering drawing, use it as the primary match. Decisions about installation methods such as pressing or heating should follow manufacturer documentation and authorized maintenance procedures.
Damage observations, lubrication and removal record
Noise, heat, vibration, discoloration, contamination or surface damage are maintenance observations; none identifies the cause by itself. Misalignment, lubrication, installation, load, coupling, shaft or housing conditions can also affect bearing behavior. Document the old bearing’s position, shaft direction, lubricant type, neighboring parts and product number. A photo of damage before cleaning may help with analysis. During mounting, the ring that receives force can matter; maintenance staff should follow the manufacturer’s installation guide. An incorrect removal method can damage the shaft or housing and affect a new component. Collection copy is not a bearing failure analysis, lubricant selection guide or installation instruction.
Loctite cleaner as a separate product group
The live list also contains LOCTITE SF 7063 / 400 ml industrial cleaner and degreaser. It is not a bearing; its presence in the collection does not make it a mechanical bearing component. Before use, consult the package label, safety data sheet, surface compatibility information and the facility’s chemical-management procedure. Check the maker’s instructions before applying a cleaner to bearings, seals or electrical components. This description makes no specific safety, material-compatibility or health claim about the chemical. In purchasing records, identify its code, package volume and intended process separately. Keeping cleaner and bearing line items distinct makes inventory and maintenance reporting clearer.
Source a part by full code and dimensions
Provide the machine brand and model, the drawing position for the bearing group, manufacturer bearing code and application context. Photograph and transcribe the code on the old bearing; where possible, measure inner diameter, outside diameter and width with calipers. Note that a value comes from a used bearing. If the code cannot be read, the technical team should check shaft and housing dimensions, load direction, speed, temperature and lubrication. In paired angular-contact or tapered arrangements, arrangement, direction and preload may be determined by the machine assembly rather than the part name; the buyer should not guess them. Until the full code and mounting drawing match, keep a similar-size product marked as a candidate only. Add quantity, installation location and unresolved points to the request.

Bearings and drives may appear in one machine but require different technical documents during maintenance and selection. Check NSK or FAG codes against maker catalogues and the Loctite item against its product and safety documents. For application fit to a specific machine, use its parts catalogue and maintenance drawing. A product-search collection does not state that a bearing is available or approved for a particular performance.
Record bearing dimensions with catalogue data
Inside and outside diameter and width help identify a bearing physically, but they do not complete a machine-fit decision. A full code can differ in seal, clearance, precision, cage and tapered or cylindrical construction. A shoulder, locknut or spacer on the same shaft may require the assembly drawing. In the maintenance record, identify whether the bearing sits in a gearbox, spindle, motor, carrier or idler and state the load direction. If the catalogue gives an equivalent number, retain the manufacturer and verified technical record; “same dimensions” is not proof of equivalence. Keep a cleaner such as LOCTITE SF 7063 under its own product type and check its compatibility against product and safety documents. Link bearing code and mounting group in the purchase line.
Check equivalence in manufacturer catalogues
Transferring an NSK code to a Schaeffler / FAG or other-brand bearing requires checking tolerances, clearance, seals, load and arrangement as well as dimensions. Similar names can describe different internal designs or applications. If the machine maker’s original number has been replaced by a catalogue code, retain the cross-reference document and applicable serial range in the purchase file. Do not base an equivalence decision on one price list or search result. Keep mechanical cleaner and bearing line items separate; use the maker’s safety data sheet for the surfaces and safety information for a Loctite product. This prevents a chemical or maintenance product from being stored as if it were a bearing code.
